Restore & Balance (New!)
Restore & Balance (R&B), is our latest creation that combines Pilates, Yoga and foam rolling elements into a 45 minute class.
We aim to provide you with a complete class that will help you prevent injuries, improve your core, flexibility and mobility.
We cover 4 elements which are essential to help muscle recovery, specially if you frequently do weight training and HIIT workouts… such as our semi-private workouts.
Here are the 4 elements:
1) Core strength
Weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries. Weak core muscles can also leave you susceptible to poor posture, lower back pain and muscle injuries.
We use pilates elements to help you strengthen your core, which will help you with every day activities.
If you frequently train with weights and high intensity cardio, your muscle can get tight and stiff, making it easier to strain muscles or compromise your posture.
The stretches in our R&B class will help loosen up those tight muscles and improve your flexibility
Foam rolling is an important element for muscle recovery. We work with a foam roller to release the tension on your muscles and improve mobility.
By applying pressure to pinpointed spots on muscles, tendons and ligaments, foam rolling can loosen tight soft tissue and can improve blood flow.
Having good balance is important for many activities we do every day, such as walking and going up and down the stairs. Exercises that improve balance can help prevent falls, a common problem in older adults and stroke patients.
